Position:                      High School- Library – 5 ¾ hours from
Hours:                         8:30 a.m. – 2:50 p.m. – Monday – Friday 


Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of successful experience as an aide in a classroom, or equivalent experience in a human resource field and be recommended by an administrator who has supervised the work of the aide for at least one year.


1.         High school graduate or equivalent, with advanced training in a community college or a degree granting institution whose special education instruction aide-training program has been approved by the Michigan Department of Education.

2.         Ability and willingness to assist in instructional, physical and behavioral management support as directed by teacher.

3.         Ability and willingness to work as part of a team with interchangeable roles.

4.         Energetic, warm personality, ability to relate to children and parents, good communication skills, sincere interest in children, polite, courteous and tactful.

5.         Prior experience with high school students is desired.

Administrative Assistant for Finance


  1. Minimum of B.A. from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and skills. Emphasis will be on accounting background/experience.  
  2. Three (3) years experience in school finance or related field.
  3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 Reports to the Superintendent.

 Performance and Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall financial operations of the District, including development and maintenance of annual budget and long-range financial projections. Must be able to apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

 Terms of Employment:

  1. 260 day contract
  2. Salary negotiable – based on experience


Evaluation: Performance on the job will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy.

Negaunee Public Schools will be accepting applications for Substitute School Bus Drivers.

Applicants will be required to meet all of the state, federal and school district position requirements listed below:

– Class B (or A) CDL License

– Air Brake, Passenger and School Bus Endorsements

– Physical Examination, including a Drug Screen

– Beginning Bus Driver Workshop
